Ioseb Dzmanashvili

Lead Architect

Ioseb Dzmanashvili is the senior software architect at Picktek. He is one of the most known faces of open-source movement in Georgia with numerous contributions to various projects including Drupal, jQuery, Apache Jakarta Commons and Google Chrome.

Prior to joining Picktek, Ioseb was the creator of a successful proprietary news publishing platform: PHPCow, a leading news publishing platform in the PHP world. Eventually his true passion: open-source won, however. He shut down the project, donating large parts of the technology on GitHub and joined Picktek where he uses his experience to contribute to open-source and help make the world a better place.

On his free time, Ioseb runs a popular blog http://www.code.ge/ dedicated to programming and open-source, creates free iPhone applications, plays guitar and spends time with his little son who is already trying to claim daddy's computer.

Ioseb is a Ph.D. candidate at the Georgian Technical University and has been teaching courses in programming and e-commerce for past several years.
