Our Process

Picktek was one of the early adopters of Agile Software Development Methodologies. We have been executing projects using Scrum since 2004 and have seen good, bad and ugly of both agile and legacy software methodologies.

Our philosophy is simple: we want to deliver the best solutions possible, in the least time imaginable and ensure undying love of our customers while we are at it. Anything that helps us achieve this goal is good and the rest is probably both bad, as well as ugly.

We are huge believers in the principles of Lean Software Development and try to minimize waste everywhere we can. We don't enact artificial barriers to "protect" us from our own customers. We want to be integral part of what you are trying to achieve and will facilitate any reasonable request. A lot of teams try to "shield" developers from or impose their practices on customers. As much experience as we have executing software projects, and we would gladly share it with you if needed, we also acknowledge that every business is unique, with unique needs. We try to accommodate.

Being in the business for years and having worked with a wide range of customers, we have come to believe that the only constant in the industry is change. Business requirements change, markets change, even people change. The only way to succeed is to leverage the change, rather than try fight it.

We work in small iterations, focus on the deliverables and try to always stay true to the old Georgian proverb: "Less talk, more work".
